Phil and his sister were born in Aviano, Italy, because his dad was in the Air Force, and they were stationed there at the time. Growing up on a military base, the housing was pretty basic. Phil would ride around town with his mom looking at houses and their unique features. He took an architectural drafting course in high school and enjoyed the class. So, when he heard of a Building and Construction degree program, he knew that was the right path for him.
Phil started his career at Wood Partners as a superintendent. After 16 years at the company, he was the Vice President of Construction, managing the general contractor entity covering the Carolinas region.
After a short time with Crescent Communities, he joined our team in 2018. He manages civil engineering design and permitting, handles construction contracting, and supervises site development construction. Phil is a licensed general contractor in North Carolina.
You can find Phil doing little projects around the house, including yard work on the weekends. He also enjoys hanging out with neighbors and taking the boat out on the lake.
